OAC Scholarships For Aerospace Studies

The Ontario Aerospace Council is pleased to be able to offer FOUR scholarships for the 2020-2021 Academic Year for students going into or currently enrolled in an aerospace studies program at a post-secondary institution (college or university) in Ontario.  The value of each scholarship is $2,500.00 CAD.

Who Can Apply?

Aerospace Studies Scholarships (3 available – open to all)

  • High school students in their final year who are entering an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university
  • Students currently enrolled in an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university and continuing their studies in the 2020-2021 Academic Year

Women In Aerospace Studies Scholarship (1 available)

  • Women attending high school in their final year who are entering an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university
  • Women currently enrolled in an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university and continuing their studies in the 2020-2021 Academic Year

Application Requirements

  • Essay (500 – 700 words) stating your interest in aerospace and career aspirations
  • Two letters of reference from community members (teacher, professor, coach, employer, volunteer leader)
  • Academic report issued by applicant’s current educational institution for the 2019-2020 Academic Year (most current)
  • Academic achievement of 75% or greater in current year studies
  • For first year students, a Letter of Acceptance into their chosen academic institution

Application Submission

  • Applications may be submitted electronically to the OAC at leigh.kras@theOAC.ca
  • Applications must be received JULY 3, 2020
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered

 

The OAC Scholarship Review Committee (comprised of industry professionals) will review applications and successful candidates will be advised in August 2020.  Funds will be provided to successful candidates for the 2020-2021 Academic Year.
